"Waiting On" Wednesday: True Colors

This week's pre-publication "can't-wait-to-read" selection is:

True Colors
By Kristin Hannah
Publication Date: February 3

From Books a Million:

"The Grey sisters had only each other when their mother died years ago. Their father provided for them physically on Water's Edge, the ranch that had been in their family for three generations, each of them however, longed for their father's love. Winona, the oldest, knew early on that she could never get it. An overweight dreamer and reader, she didn't exhibit the kinds of talents and strengths her father valued. Vivi Anne, the youngest, had those things. And it was Vivi Anne who only ever saw a glimmer of their father's approval. When Vivi Anne makes a fateful decision to follow her heart, rather than take the route of a dutiful daughter, events are set in motion that will test the love and loyalties of the Grey sisters. With breathtaking pace and penetrating insight, this is a novel about sisters, vengeance, rivalry, betrayal and, ultimately, what it truly means to be a family."

This is a little "lighter" type of read for me, but I read Hannah's Firefly Lane earlier this year and really enjoyed it, so I have her latest on my list.

What's your "waiting on" pick this week?

Leave a comment with either the link to your own "Waiting On" Wednesday post or just your answer (if you don't have a blog).

Kristin Hannah’s True Colors dives into the complex relationship of two sisters, Winona and Vivi Anne, amid their father's emotional neglect. As Vivi Anne chooses her own path, the sisters face challenges that test their loyalty and bond. While you’re waiting to read this, why not take a break and enjoy the slope game for some fun?

This sounds like a captivating story about sisterhood and family bonds! It reminds me a bit of the dedication required in Monkey Mart, constantly juggling tasks to keep everything running smoothly. The themes of loyalty and betrayal definitely pique my interest. I'm adding this to my reading list – especially since you enjoyed Firefly Lane. I'm always looking for books with compelling characters.

Geometry Dash A Comprehensive Guide to the Rhythm Based Platformer

Geometry Dash has become one of the most famous rhythm based platformer games, capturing the attention of gamers across the world. This colorful and music driven title blends fast reflexes, precise timing, and puzzle like level design. Its distinctive style combines electronic music with geometric visuals, drawing players into hours of tapping and jumping. If you are looking for a game that challenges your skills and creativity, Geometry Dash is the perfect choice.

Origins and Evolution of Geometry Dash
Geometry Dash was developed by RobTop Games and first launched on mobile before expanding to PC. The concept is simple. You control a square icon that moves automatically, and you tap or click to jump over obstacles in rhythm with the background music. Over time, new updates added modes of play, a powerful level editor, and community features that turned the game into a global hit.

The game has multiple versions, including Geometry Dash Lite, Geometry Dash World, and Geometry Dash SubZero. Many players start on mobile but later switch to PC for better precision and access to custom levels. Known for its high difficulty, the game still remains easy to learn thanks to simple tap and hold controls.
