Weekend Cooking: Texas Toast Breakfast Bread Pudding

Weekend Cooking is hosted by Beth Fish Reads.

So...tired of being tired of not cooking from my cookbooks, I issued myself a challenge for 2010: cook 100 recipes from the 10 years' worth of Southern Living Annual Recipes in my collection. I started a new blog just to keep me accountable and track my progress.

My first recipe was Texas Toast Breakfast Bread Pudding, and it was divine!

That's my kind of breakfast casserole: make it the night before and just roll out of bed and cook it the next morning. Turning the oven on is about all I'm capable in the mornings. Measuring ingredients is akin to calculus before noon. ;-)

Looks delicious! Good luck with your challenge. I'll pop in from time to time and see how it's going.

What a great idea! I don't mind cooking, but I sure am tired of trying to figure out what to cook.

What a super idea! I've been getting food magazines (between 2 and 5 month) since the mid-1970s. I finally learned to cut out recipes instead of trying to store all those thousands of magazines.

Anyway, I hope you continue to link up to Weekend Cooking to remind people to follow along with your progress.
