Library Loot is a weekly event hosted by The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader.
I just finished Brunonia Barry's The Map of True Places, and I enjoyed it so much that I went back and picked up The Lace Reader (I know, I'm the very last person to read this). I had it in my head that it would be too "mystical" for my taste, but after reading her latest, I had to read it...because, well, I love her now.
In the meantime, several books came up on my library list that I've been tap-tap-tapping my fingers waiting for:

Husband and Wife by Leah Stewart
By Accident by Susan Kelly
Twelve Rooms with a View by Theresa Rebeck
I want to read every one of those books!

ReplyDeleteI really liked Husband and Wife. I also read Girl in Translation this week - such a good book! And I'm very excited because Jean Kwok will be doing a reading, etc at an Indie bookstore near me tonight. I plan to go. Enjoy all your reading!

ReplyDeleteI'm currently reading The Map of True Places. I'm only about half way through it, but I'm really loving it. Don't worry you're not the last person to read The Lace Reader. I haven't read it either. But I'm definitely adding it onto my TBR list now. You got some really great books! I can't wait to read your reviews of them.
