"Waiting On" Wednesday: Big Girl Small

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted here, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This week's pre-publication "can't-wait-to-read" selection is:

Big Girl Small
By Rachel DeWoskin
Publication Date: March 29

From Amazon:

Judy Lohden is your above-average sixteen-year-old—sarcastic and vulnerable, talented and uncertain, full of big dreams for a big future. With a singing voice that can shake an auditorium, she should be the star of Darcy Academy, the local performing arts high school. So why is a girl this promising hiding out in a seedy motel room on the edge of town?

The fact that the national media is on her trail after a controversy that might bring down the whole school could have something to do with it. And that scandal has something—but not everything—to do with the fact that Judy is three feet nine inches tall.

What's your "waiting on" pick this week?

Sounds like a fascinating book with a very unique protagonist-- I don't think I've ever read a book with a 'little person' has the protagonist. Hope you enjoy it when it's released!

That certainly sounds like it has a unique plot!

I certainly haven't heard of Big Girl Small, it definitely sounds unique.

My WOW is a little different.

What an interesting twist having the girl be just above 3 feet tall. Although the synopsis had me at "seedy motel".

I was reading the summary for the book and thought it sounded like so many I've already read. Then I got to the part about her being a little person and I think my brain popped a bit. Sounds super interesting!
