"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted here, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
This week's pre-publication "can't-wait-to-read" selection is:
Finding Casey
By Jo-Ann Mapson
Publication Date: October 2
From Amazon:
Glory Vigil, newly married, unexpectedly pregnant at 41, is
nesting in the home she and her husband, Joseph, have just moved to in
Santa Fe, a house that unbeknownst to them is rumored to have a
resident ghost. Their adopted daughter, Juniper, is home from college
for Thanksgiving and in love for the very first time, quickly learning
how a relationship changes everything. But Juniper has a tiny arrow
lodged in her heart, a leftover shard from the day eight years earlier
when her sister, Casey, disappeared—in a time before she’d ever met
Glory and Joseph. When a fieldwork course takes Juniper to a pueblo
only a few hours away, she finds herself right back in the past she
thought she’d finally buried.

You always find the best books, many that I have not come across yet. This looks like a great read.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like it may be good. I'm interested to know if it goes into an actual ghost story.
ReplyDeleteSuper interesting! It's a little unclear from the cover copy whose perspective the story is told from, but all characters sound interesting so maybe it will rotate around.
ReplyDeleteI sure hope the ghost in the house isn't Juniper's sister! That would be too sad.
Happy Wednesday!
I love your choice for this week, seems like a great and emotional book. (:
