"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted here, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
This week's pre-publication "can't-wait-to-read" selection is:
Those We Love Most
By Lee Woodruff
Publication Date: September 11
From Amazon:
Life is good for Maura Corrigan. Married to her college sweetheart,
Pete, raising three young kids with her parents nearby in her peaceful
Chicago suburb, her world is secure. Then one day, in a single turn of
fate, that entire world comes crashing down and everything that she
thought she knew changes.
Maura must learn to move forward with
the weight of grief and the crushing guilt of an unforgivable secret.
Pete senses a gap growing between him and his wife but finds it easier
to escape to the bar with his friends than face the flaws in his
marriage.
Meanwhile, Maura's parents are dealing with the fault
lines in their own marriage. Charismatic Roger, who at sixty-five, is
still chasing the next business deal and Margaret, a pragmatic and
proud homemaker, have been married for four decades, seemingly happily.
But the truth is more complicated. Like Maura, Roger has secrets of his
own and when his deceptions and weaknesses are exposed, Margaret's love
and loyalty face the ultimate test.
What's your "waiting on" pick this week?

Happy Wednesday!
This one is new to me..thanks for sharing it..i love finding new books:)
This doesn't exactly sound like my kind of read (fracturing marriages) as I tend to prefer happier cheer. I will need to keep an eye out for reviews that share if it is worth it.
Nice book pick this week. It's not one that I will pick up and read myself, but if you want to see what books I like to read then why not check out my waiting on wednesday Post :)

I like the cover, don't know so much about the story...
Would you believe this is on my WoW list, too - just not this week!I have enjoyed Woodruff's non-fiction books, so I am interested in seeing how well she transitions to fiction.
I haven't heard of this one before, but i'll definitely check it out!
Happy Wednesday!

This book sounds so good!
I love it when a book synopsis starts talking about an "unforgivable secret", that's always one sure-fire way to make me want to read it! :)
This sounds different but I do like the cover :D **Happy Wednesday**
Those We Love Most sounds like an emotional story. I enjoy books like this myself. Hoping for things to get resolved and how the characters get there can be such a ride.
I've heard that book is excellent!

Hmmm, not sure if I will read this book. Might be too much reality drama for me.

Not my type of book, but it still sounds good. Every once in a while I pick up something I wouldn't normally read and am pleasantly surprised.
Intriguing pick. I don't tend to read contemporary too often but this one does sound interesting.
I met Lee at BEA Bloggers this year - she's a very gracious and kind. I'm sure the book will be wonderful!
This looks like a fantastic read! I'd never heard of this author or book but I'm definitely adding it to my wishlist

I must admit I've never seen this book around, and I tend to avoid novels that focus on the recovery of people who've lost something. But thanks for making me aware of it, and I might check it out again later!
Hi
I've not heard of this book and I don't think that it'd be my usual type of read, but thank you for bringing a new read to my notice.
Happy Reading!!!
Interesting book. I don't know if I'd read it though, I'm more paranormal than realistic fiction :P great pick though, i love the cover.
