"Waiting On" Wednesday: Gone
This week's pre-publication "can't-wait-to-read" selection is:
Publication Date: June 19
For the past 14 years, Eve Adams has worked part-time while raising her two children and emotionally supporting her sculptor husband, Eric, through his early fame and success. Now, at forty-two, she suddenly finds herself with a growing career of her own—even as Eric’s career sinks deeper into the slump it slipped into a few years ago.
After a dinner at a local restaurant to celebrate Eve’s success, Eric drives the babysitter home and, simply, doesn’t come back. Eve must now shift the family in possibly irreparable ways, forcing her to realize that competence in one area of life doesn’t always keep things from unraveling in another.

Love the sound of this one, and am definitely loving the cover. great pick! :)
Wow this sounds like an incredible read. Even reading the blurb I didn't expect it to go there! Def intrigued!
La Toya (La Toya, Literally.)
This one sounds interesting! "Gone" sounds like an autobiography of a friend of my mom's. It's almost identical to her life. Great pick!
I have never heard of this author or book before. Your teaser has me interested enough to look it up and add it to my TBR pile--but it does sound sad!! Have you read any other books from this author??

I always love checking out your selections because they aren't usually in the genre that I would gravitate to, but they tempt me to try new things... This is definitely one that I'm going to write down, though I'll have to wait for the right mood to read it. Sounds as though it will be heart warming, but thoroughly depressing.

Ooo your book looks very interesting and tense! I hadn't heard of it before so thanks for sharing! x
I've never heard of this before, but it sounds really interesting! Thanks for putting it on my radar. :)
Never heard of Gone, it's not a genre I usually read, but I am intrigued! Thank you so much for sharing.
Happy reading (or waiting),
Lilian @ A Novel Toybox.

This one sounds like my kind of story! Thanks for sharing.

I'm curious about this one Jill.
First WoW post on my blog, Reading Between Classes
This one sounds really good! I think I see my TBR growing!
Hmmm...I'll have to think about this one. At first I thought it sounded like a mystery - husband doesn't return - but after checking it out a little more, it seems like a story of a relationship and taking a "time out". Thanks for highlighting it.
That sounds like a heartbreaking, but ultimately victorious, read. Great pick!
My WoW this week is The Loners by Lex Thomas: http://bookstrings.blogspot.com/2012/03/wow-15.html
You pick the best books!
Another great pick. I pinned this one to my Books I want to read board so I don't forget (I have too many books on Goodreads now I tend to forget them, but I'm afraid this will happen with Pinterest as well). Gone sounds like just the novel I like to read in the midst of the books I normally read.
This sounds like a very emotional and suspense filled book. I really like the cover.
That sounds like a book many women could relate to.
Love the Waiting on Wednesday feature.
My my sometimes men just stink..lol
Sounds like a good one. Have fun reading and a great week Jill.
Love Waiting on Wednesday!
I may have to pick this book up! Never even heard of the author.
This book sounds totally up my alley. Thanks for sharing!!
My first thought on reading that summary is that it sounds unbearably sad. I hope there's HOPE in it somewhere.
The hubby leaves and never comes back, just skips out on his family. What a loser, but it makes for a good story about survival and independence. Maybe they will even find a way to get back together?
This is my first WoW! :) Mine was for the book "Want"! The cover looks amazing and it's about a girl wanting to become a piano virtuoso! -Amanda
Hmmm sounds thoughtful and provoking. I went with a serious theme as well this week with Ferocity Summer by Alissa Grosso.
Not sure this is a book I'd like but I love the cover!
&This is my first WoW. Awesome meme! :)
great pick! sounds really great!
Sounds like a nice book!
Sounds like a good pick!
