"Waiting On" Wednesday: The Vacationers
"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted here, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
This week's pre-publication "can't-wait-to-read" selection is:
The Vacationers
By Emma Straub
Publication Date: May 29
From Amazon:
For the Posts, a two-week trip to the Balearic island of Mallorca with their extended family and friends is a celebration: Franny and Jim are observing their 35th wedding anniversary, and their daughter, Sylvia, has graduated from high school. The sunlit island, its mountains and beaches, its tapas and tennis courts, also promise an escape from the tensions simmering at home in Manhattan. But all does not go according to plan: over the course of the vacation, secrets come to light, old and new humiliations are experienced, childhood rivalries resurface, and ancient wounds are exacerbated.
What's your "waiting on" pick this week?

Sounds good!
Not really my type of read but I hope you enjoy it.
Thanks for sharing
I love the quirky cover.
That actually sounds like it would make me nervous...a 35-year-long marriage potentially being hurt over old wounds and secrets makes me sad. :/ Why are you psyched about it? Something about the author?
I LOVE the cover haha. Sounds like a nice choice...

Sounds good! It would be fun to read now in the winter for a "get away" book even though things don't go as planned
Thanks for sharing! It sounds great :D

Your book sounded like something I would like to do not just read--until I got to the end of the blurb. I'll settle for reading!
The cover looks very catchy and beautiful! :)

Sounds like lots of drama! Not for the faint of heart. I'm not into drama right now, but by May, who knows! I hope you enjoy it!

A Vacation gone wrong sounds like a very intriguing dramatic read!
